I was walking along the beach this afternoon and I had my iPod on and was listening to my own little soundtrack. Then this lady comes up from behind me and asks me if I'm listening to an mp3 player. At first it takes me a little while to register her question (which ends up being to my benefit : ) so she starts saying how my mp3 player is going to burn holes through my head



By now I'm just registering the initial question and then she starts ranting about the holes going through my head and something about my ears exploding or something. So I keep my mouth shut because in all honestly I had no clue what she was talking about nor how to respond.



Well, it turned out that by not speaking to her she was beginning to think I was deaf and dumb To which I immediately took up the opportunity to let her keep thinking that. So I smiled and nodded my head.



oh did that frustrate her. She began to ask if I could speak. and then she asked if I could hear and speak english. I just nodded my head and smiled



To emphasize her questions she put her index finger and thumb of her right hand on her upper and bottom lips respectively and began to squish her lips together as if it would make her speech any clearer to me.



So I then began to stare at her lips ^_^ and nodded my head and smiled!

Oh man, if you could have seen it you would have died laughing. And by now I've just got the sweetest happiest smile on my face while I nod my head at her

She got so infuriated. She began to ask me about what group I was in (something about steve jobs and some other guy or something. I'm still a little puzzled by what that was all about) and all the while reminding me about how my mp3 player was going to put holes in my head. So I nodded smiled waved goodbye and started to walk away.



She kept on throwing random comments my way about holes and jobs and about how I can't speak, hear, or understand english. I tell ya, it was hilarious.
